Dave and I were guest speakers again for the Gersen Institute for Cancer in San Diego.  We were scheduled to speak on Sunday morning so on Saturday we went over to Little Italy and found out that every Saturday they have a farmer's market.   WOW and  WOW! We had the best time walking around and sampling all the goodies.  Everything was local and so yummy.  We loved the fresh juices that they had to offer.  I wish that I could buy everything organic in one place like a farmer's market.  It was so nice.   

My $3.00 Frame turned into a Valentine Mantel piece

I picked up this frame for $3.00 and I wanted to challenge myself to make something.  I painted the frame and then used burlap and made some paper flowers and it was that easy.
Over at www.rhonnadesigns.blogspot.com she shows how to make paper flowers and a free download.  I have been having lots of fun using The Kiss Me collection.  Still need to work on some Valentines.

Valentine Banner

We have lots of rain today so it was a good day to be inside crafting.  I love the way this Banner came out. I again used the Kiss Me Collection by Rhonna Designs,  all you have to do is print and cut and just add stuff. I wanted to go to my craft store today to see all the new stuff so I could add things to this Banner but instead I used what I had on hand and I'm happy with it.  I'm still working on more Ideas for my Mantel.

My Love Birds - Decorating for Valentines Day

I have the Spark to Decorate my Mantel - I have one ugly Mantel, no matter what I do it stays ugly.  This year I'm trying to make it look cute!  I was looking for some white Love Birds but couldn't find any so I used red birds instead.  I also used Rhonna Designs -Kiss me Collection for the cute hat and was Inspired by  Margie romney-aslett's Love, Love, Love class.  This project was pretty quick once you got the hat done.
Next I'm going to make a Banner using the same paper collection.

Happy Birthday Michelle

Today Michelle is 38!  This is one of my favorite pictures of us.  We were so young, I think Michelle was around 13 yrs old.  SO CUTE!

Rhonna Designs made Easy!

My husband came home last week and asked me if I could make him some Invitations for his Holiday Dinner and that he only needed 10 and could I have them done by Monday.  Well that only gave me 4 days to come up with something so after I freaked out I went to www.rhonnadesigns.com and she just released some new holiday Digitals.  I was so excited and decided that it wasn't going to be so hard after all.  I'm still learning all about the world of Digital and Photoshop.  I used Christmas word art brush kit and Christmas art brush kit and I used lots of glitter.  Since he was going to hand deliver them I also designed the Envelope.  He said he
loved how they came out and I was a happy girl.

Austin, Texas Nov. 5th 2011

We had a great time in Austin, Texas this weekend for the Texas Tech vs Texas Longhorn game. Austin is a great town lots to do and lots to eat.  We were so happy that we got to see Alex and his girlfriend Rachel after the game.  I have never been to a Texas game and it was great,  Tech lost but there is always next year when they come to play in Lubbock, Texas.
