Vegan Black Bean Brownies for Dave

My husband is Vegan - no Dairy no Meat and I try to eat Vegetarian most of the time now, so when I can find something sweet for Dave that has no dairy he is a happy camper.  I saw this recipe and was not to excited about black beans in something sweet, well I was wrong!  If someone didn't tell me that there was black beans in this I would of not noticed or tasted it.  I used the real Dutch cocoa and they are very yummy kinda like fudge like brownies.  Dave said they were fantastic!   I love it when I can find something that he can enjoy. I found this recipe at www.nomeatathlete.com and I also would like to try the one over at www.joythebaker.com. Black beans very weird but good.

She enjoyed the simple things Canvas.   I really enjoyed creating this Canvas,  used the mixed media March kit from www.scarletlime.com - so much fun and I have lots of stuff left over to make another.  I am enjoying the simple things in life, it doesn't take much to make me happy.

Spring Canvas

I wanted to paint a canvas like my picture in my art journal,  it sort of looks like it.  It's not really the look that I was looking for.  I should of used a lighter green and blue to show the cool paper under all that paint. I'm learning more about the different paints and textures and having a blast.  I used paint, paper and rub-on transfers.

My first mixed media canvas

This is my first mixed media canvas. I signed up for a online class - Donna Downey Canvas Create 2012 - February class.  I picked a  12 x 12 canvas then I used molding paste, paper, paint, stamps and glitter. I love the online class, she shows different ways on how to use molding paste and paints to make it your own. Love it.

This put a smile on my face, My new motorcycle helmet.  Dave is going to rent the big Harley this month for a weekend so we can go see the bluebonnets.  The flowers are just coming out and should be in full bloom, super excited.  I love the pink, I can wear a white or a black jacket.
