August 9th I turned 55.  I really feel my age this b-day, it's closer
to 60, but I feel good and I'm happy.   Dave asked me what I wanted to do and I told him that I wanted to eat at my favorite place,  Uncle Julio's at their new location in Austin, Texas.  It was fabulous and the place was so beautiful and the location was perfect... We also took a walk to Congress street to see the billion or so Bats that come out from the bridge at sunset.  Wow what a sight.

The next day we went to the farmers market downtown.  That was great,  I wish we had something like that in Spring.  Always looking for Organic produce and stuff.

Then we drove out to have lunch at The Oasis on Lake Travis for some yummy food and a great view of the lake.

On the way home we stopped to have Pie in Round Top Texas, this place is always good. It's hard to choose what kind to get.

When we got back my daughter Michelle and Nissa and the boys took me to lunch in the Woodlands. It was very nice to spend some time with her.

Today I had lunch with my Scrapbook friends, Krissy, Suzie and Susan.

It was a good Birthday.

Father & Son Road Trip

Last week Dave flew to Lubbock, Texas and rented a car, picked up Alex and then they drove 8 hours to Denver, Colorado to see The Who in concert.  This was a 3 day road trip,  they went hiking and spent some quality time together.  When I asked to see some pictures of their trip,  this is what I got - 9 pictures - Guys do not know how to take pictures!

I wanted to have something that they could look back on, so I made a 8 x 8 mini album using the Teresa Collins paper line Far & Away.

Dave still has to Journal the pages to finish the album.  This was truly a great trip for the Guys.

Guest speakers - Gerson Institute

The Gerson Therapy -  Dave and I were lucky that we were asked back to speak again to tell our story, Dave the patient and me the caregiver.  Dave spoke first and then I spoke and then we answered questions from the group. It's a good feeling to give back.  We also love going to San Diego because we can always find something vegan or vegetarian and always Organic.
They always serve a great Breakfast to get things started for the day.  This is what Dave and I eat every morning, fresh squeezed orange juice, steel cut oatmeal, and lots of fruit and always Organic.  We had a great weekend and we managed to go to the farmer's market on Saturday afternoon.  That has to be our second favorite part of our trip.

Here are a couple of pictures of a Gerson Breakfast.

Hot Oatmeal

Lots of fruit
